Field Recording

A few raw excerpts from my personal archive:

I have been recording outdoor sounds since 2008, using a variety of methods and for different purposes. Over time, this has allowed me to build an extensive archive of sounds, which I constantly revisit and incorporate into the diverse aspects of my sound work. I’m always amazed by how the sounds I’ve captured manage to evoke in me vivid images and scenes. Like photographs or postcards, each sound brings a specific memory to the surface, unfolding in front of me detailed and dynamic.

The practice of field recording, by its very nature, has allowed me to weave deeply personal elements of my past into my compositions. Through this, I’ve developed an intimate narrative dimension in my work, one often imbued with symbolic meanings. It’s no coincidence that certain sounds and motifs reappear across multiple pieces. At the same time, field recording has provided me with a unique opportunity to connect with specific territories and places, blending my passion for exploration and walking with my artistic process. I believe that field recording serves as a bridge between my aesthetic and ethical thinking, grounded in an ecological interpretation of both subjectivity and reality.

When creating sound and music for theater, film, or performances, I apply similar principles to those in my personal work. I draw from my sound archive or record new material with intention, always avoiding pre-made libraries. This approach allows me to give each production a distinct sonic identity. I like to think that the appreciation for my work stems from this commitment to originality and a unique imprint in every project.
